Human immunodeficiency virus or HIV is a sexually transmitted disease, which can develop into acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). AIDS research constitutes of all fundamental researches about the nature of HIV as an infectious agent and AIDS as the disease caused by HIV.
