This book compiles material about the great Indian saint Baba Virsa Singh Ji. The facts and events are taken from previously published sources. An attempt is made to present the known aspects of Maharaj Ji’s life in chronological order, to show through numerous quotes the depth of his wisdom and love for people. When presenting the material, the style and format of the texts included in the narrative are consciously preserved so as not to distort what the authors have said and not to lose the most valuable element — the warmth of the recollections, the living content of events and facts as reflected by different people at different times. The content of the collection was prepared with the support and assistance of the members of Gobind Sadan community. Special words of gratitude to dear Mary Pat Fisher, her sister Ann Dix, and Olga Stoliarova for their invaluable help and active participation in the preparation of this book. Let us not forget to express gratitude to all those who at different times were close to Maharaj Ji, were connected with him by destiny in historical times, and recorded information about him in articles, books, films, photographs, and memories. The collection “Beacon of Light” was prepared with great respect for Maharaj Ji’s mission, with heartfelt remembrance of His exalted service. The book uses photos from the Gobind Sadan archive (India, New Delhi)
