Dr. M. Joseph completed his undergraduation in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering from Karunya Institute of Technology under Barathiyar University,Coimbatore, in 1990. He did his post-graduation in the field of Computer Science and Engineering from Government College of Engineering under Manomanium Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli in 1995. Presently, he is doing his research in HDL (Hardware Description Language) compilers at National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, Karnataka. He received his Ph.D in Computer Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, Karnataka in 2008. Presently, he is working as Principal of Mother Teresa College of Engineering and Technology, Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu. He has been teaching to Engineering Community for more than a decade, in various Engineering Colleges. He is a member in the syllabus committee of Anna University,Chennai in the department of Information Technology. He is a member of the Board of Studies of Bharathidasan University, Trichirappalli for the UG & PG courses in Information Technology. He was a member in the syllabus committee of Bharathidasan University, Trichirappalli in the department of Information Technology for the period 1999-2000. He has written 'Elements of Compiler Design', which was published in the year 2001. He has also written a book titled 'System Software: A Simplified Approach' in 2006. He has been authoring various papers presented in journals and National Conferences. His field of interest are System Programming, Operating Systems and Software Engineering. He has been an active member of Computer Society of India since 1999. He was the student branch counselor of the Periyar Vallam Chapter for the period 2001-2002. He was the secretary of CSI-Thanjavur Chapter for the terms 2001-2003 and 2003-2004. He has also interest in modern Tamil Literature. He has been writing poems, short stories, and other articles in Tamil, in various magazines and also in leading Tamil portals like chennaionline.com (aaraamthinai.com), amblam.com, kumudam.com and others. He has published two poetry collections in Tamil.
