Marcus Aurelius
MARCUS AURELIUS (121–180 AD) was born Marcus Annius Verus in Rome. In 161, he became the ruler of the Roman Empire. He was one of the last of the rulers later known as the Five Good Emperors, and his reign brought a period of relative peace, calm, and stability for the Roman Empire. Aurelius breathed his last in 180. At the time of his death, he was one of the most powerful people on earth.
