Adventure stories Childrens Teenage

Despite the warnings of Lord Canterville, Mr. Otis moves into Canterville Chase with his family. He refuses to believe that the mansion is haunted. However, as soon as the family arrives, they discover that the stories are true. The sounds of clanking chains echo through empty corridors and the floor near the fireplace has mysteriously appearing bloodstains. The house is haunted by a spectre who dislikes visitors. However, the Otis family refuse to be intimidated by the ghost. They accept him as a part of the house, albeit an annoying one. They ignore him and treat him more like a comic nuisance than a terrifying phantasm. However, Sir Simon, the proud and malevolent ghost of Canterville Chase refuses to be treated like a trivial side-show. He does his best to horrify the family members, but his wish, for all his efforts, seems to be impossible.
