Daddy-Long-Legs is a famous epistolary novel by the American writer Jean Webster. It is a heartwarming and delightful tale that invites readers into the world of an orphan named Jerusha Abbott, who affectionately calls herself Judy. The novel unfolds through a series of letters that Judy writes to her mysterious benefactor, whom she nicknames Daddy-Long-Legs. An unknown benefactor who believes she can become a writer has financed her college education. Judy is required to send him a letter every month, but he never gets back to her. Judy discovers that he is a tall, long-legged man by catching a glimpse of his shadow from behind, and she ends up calling him Daddy-Long-Legs
