The JEE or Joint Entrance Examination is a national qualifying exam written to gain admission into the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and Indian School of Mines (ISM) Dhanbad.
The exam has been divided into two phases. The first phase is referred to as the JEE Main. Students have to clear the JEE Main to gain admission into the NITs, IIITs, and other government funded institutions. The second phase is referred to as the JEE Advanced. In this phase, students who have high scores in the JEE Main have to write the paper for the JEE Advanced to be eligible for admission into the IITs. The exam has two papers, one for students who want to pursue engineering, the other for those who want to pursue architecture and planning.
Physical Chemistry For JEE Main And Advanced: Master Book To Develop Concepts And Problem Solving Skills is a good place to begin preparations on Physical Chemistry for both the JEE Main and Advanced, as it is an exhaustive source of information on the subject.
The book is divided into forty chapters out of which ten are devoted to the Mole Concept. Important topics like Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Gaseous State, Electrochemistry and Thermodynamics are covered in two to four chapters. Apart from these, Kinetic Theory of Gases, Advanced Stoichiometry, Eudiometry, Vapour Pressure, Nuclear Chemistry, Redox Reactions and Surface Chemistry have also been covered.
Concepts are well-explained with data tables, diagrams, graphs and interesting facts for better understanding. The book has over 140 Concept Testing Exercises, and more than 150 Concept Building Exercises.
