We are all aware of James Bonds adventures, thanks to Ian Fleming. There are fans and then there are fans. William Boyd for sure belongs to the latter category. The new James Bond novel written by Boyd is everything that there is to know about Bond and more about Bond, the man.
Solo does that impeccably through a new mission. The book has it all suspense, thriller, espionage and Bond is back with a new twist and touch to his character. I thought I would not enjoy Solo when I started reading it, however the book has this uncanny ability to drag you in and before you know it, you are at one with the action and emotional level of the writing.
1969, a veteran secret agent. A single mission. A licence to kill - James Bond returns.
